Cookie policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar tools are used by the website www.professioneinformatica.eu (the “Website”), for what purposes, and how users can manage their preferences. It is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101/2018, Articles 7 and 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the “Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools” issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June 2021.
This document supplements the Website’s Privacy Policy, to which reference is made for general information on the processing of personal data and on the rights of data subjects.
1. Data controller
Professione Informatica S.r.l.Via Tiberio Imperatore, 65 – 00145 Roma (RM), Italy
VAT no. IT12685051000
Email: info@professioneinformatica.eu
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website sends to the user’s device, where they are stored and then sent back to the same website on subsequent visits. They may be “session” cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed, or “persistent” cookies, which remain stored until their expiry date or until the user deletes them. “First-party” cookies are set directly by the website being visited, while “third-party” cookies are set by a different party.
Under the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines, a distinction is made between:
- technical cookies, which are necessary for the website to function or to provide a service requested by the user, and for which consent is not required;
- analytics cookies, used to collect statistical information on the use of the website; where they are first-party and produce aggregate data only, they may be treated as equivalent to technical cookies, otherwise they require consent;
- profiling cookies, used to build user profiles and deliver personalised advertising, which always require consent.
3. Cookies and tools used by the Website
The Website uses first-party technical cookies only. No profiling cookies and no third-party cookies are used. Fonts and scripts are hosted directly on the Controller’s servers, without relying on third-party content delivery networks (CDNs).
3.1 Technical cookies
The following cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Website and are set without the need for consent (Article 122(1) of the Italian Data Protection Code). The legal basis is the Controller’s legitimate interest in providing a functioning and secure website and in recording the user’s consent choices.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cc_cookie | Technical, first-party | Stores the user’s cookie consent choices (categories accepted or rejected), so that the banner is not shown again on every visit. | 6 months |
| .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* | Technical, first-party | Protects the contact form against CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) attacks by verifying that submissions actually originate from the Website. | Session |
3.2 Statistics (Umami)
In order to understand, in aggregate form, how the Website is used, the Controller uses Umami, a web analytics software installed and operated directly on its own servers in Italy (self-hosted). Umami:
- does not set cookies or any other persistent identifiers on the user’s device;
- does not store IP addresses in clear form;
- does not send any data to third parties;
- produces aggregate statistics only (for example pages visited, referring website, device and browser type, country), which do not allow individual users to be identified.
Although this tool does not use cookies, for greater transparency the Controller activates it only with the user’s consent: Umami is included in the “Statistics” category of the banner and remains disabled until the user enables it. Users can enable or disable it at any time from the preferences panel.
3.3 Links to external services
The location of the Controller’s premises is shown by means of a simple link to Google Maps or OpenStreetMap: no map is embedded in the Website and, therefore, no cookies from these services are set while browsing the Website. If the user chooses to click on the link, they are taken to the relevant provider’s website, to which that provider’s own privacy and cookie policies apply:
- Google: policies.google.com/privacy
- OpenStreetMap Foundation: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
4. Consent management
On the first visit, a banner is displayed allowing the user to choose between three options, presented with equal prominence:
- Accept all: enables all categories, including “Statistics”;
- Reject: keeps only the necessary technical cookies active;
- Manage preferences: allows the user to choose, category by category, which ones to enable.
Closing the banner with the “X” button is equivalent to rejecting and keeps only the default settings, i.e. technical cookies only. Continuing to browse without making a choice does not amount to giving consent.
Users can change or withdraw their choices at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page, or directly here: . Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
The user’s choices are stored in the technical cookie “cc_cookie” for 6 months. The banner is shown again when this period expires, or earlier if the cookies or tools used by the Website change significantly, or if the user deletes cookies from their browser.
5. Managing cookies through the browser
In addition to the preferences panel, users can view, block or delete cookies through their browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may, however, impair certain features of the Website, such as submitting the contact form. Instructions for the main browsers are available below:
6. Rights of the data subject
Users may at any time exercise the rights provided for by Articles 15 to 22 GDPR and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it), as described in the Privacy Policy. Requests may be sent to info@professioneinformatica.eu.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
The Controller may update this Cookie Policy, for example in the event of changes to the cookies or tools used by the Website or to applicable legislation. The updated version is always published on this page together with the date of the last update. In the event of significant changes, consent will be requested again through the banner.
